GET TO KNOW ME

Hannes Vanlancker started his musical studies at JMA Pro Musica Tielt with Gilbert Hinnekint and Joris Bouckaert. 
Later on he studied piano and horn at the Academy for Music and Drama in Tielt. 
From 2003 till 2005, he participated in summer composition masterclasses with Wim Henderickx and Diederik Glorieux (Musica, Neerpelt).

Hannes got his Bachelor's degree music theory and his Master's degree music pedagogy at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. 
During these studies he also entered composition classes with Wim Henderickx and wind band conducting with Dirk De Caluwé, Steven Verhaert and Jan Hadermann. In 2013 he obtained also his Master's degree in wind band conducting.

Besides composing, Hannes has been a successful conductor at youth wind bands in Tielt and Roeselare, wind bands in Bissegem and Hooglede-Gits and assistant-conductor at the Royal Choir and Symphony Orchestra Zanglust in Tielt. 
Since 2016 he is the conductor of symphonic wind band Concordia Kunst naar Vermogen Moorsele
and in 2017 he became the conductor of the Wevelgem Wind Band Concordia. 
In 2017 he was selected to take part in the ‘Life Long Learning International Conducting Course’ 

at The Hague (NL) with coaches Jan Cober and Alex Schillings.

Professionally, Hannes was music professor in the practical area and in distance education at VIVES University College (2011 - 2019). 

Since July 2019 he is a fulltime music engraver and mainly works freelance as music engraver at Hal Leonard Europe and for vzw Huniyagar.
